The Copper Quill honors a local author for a body of work. First presented in 1995, the award is designed to recognize the many talented authors living in our local area who have made significant contributions to literature. A variety of genres are considered in the selection process. Previous Copper Quill recipients serve as the selection committee with the Friends of the Library acting as liaison. Recipients are honored at a public event and presented with a plaque and cash stipend.
The Friends of the Library are opening up our Copper Quill Awards from Flagstaff residents to all of Coconino County.
