What is Interlibrary Loan (ILL)?
Interlibrary Loan (ILL) is a service offered to you by Flagstaff City-Coconino County Library. We borrow books or magazine articles from other libraries that you need but that we do not own.
How do I make a Request?
Please be sure to check the Flagstaff Public Library’s Online Catalog prior to requesting an item from Interlibrary Loan.
You can view a short tutorial on the Interlibrary Loan process here: .
How many requests can I have in process?
There is a limit of six active requests per patron at one time. This includes pending requests.
How long does it take to receive a request?
We process your requests as quickly as possible. We borrow from libraries all over the U.S; therefore, it can take from a few days to several weeks to receive materials.
What is not available through interlibrary loan?
How will I be notified when my material arrives?
If you have an email in your library account you will receive an email. Otherwise, you will receive a phone call.
How long can I keep an interlibrary loan item?
The average loan period is 3 weeks. However, the lending library can set an earlier date at their discretion. There are no renewals and due dates are firm.
Where do I return Interlibrary Loan Materials?
You may return your materials to either the Main Library or the East Branch Community Library. Please do not remove the attached label from the borrowed materials.
