About the Website

In accordance with the W3C web standards organization (http://www.w3.org/) the majority of our pages qualify as HTML 4.01 Transitional.

Our pages adhere to Federal web accessibility standards (Section 508 standards), as outlined at http://www.section508.gov/.

The website is designed to work well with a variety of browsers, including: IE 6+, Netscape 7+, Firefox 1+, Opera, Safari, Omniweb, [etc] but will allow users of older browsers to access the site as well. If you have problems accessing or reading the site, please contact the library.

To use the access keys:
Most browsers support jumping to specific links by typing keys defined on the Web site. On Windows, you can press ALT + an access key; on Macintosh, you can press Control + an access key. Some browsers, such as Internet Explorer, may require you to press the ENTER key after typing an access key.

Access keys will not work while searching the catalog - they only work on non-SIRSI pages.

To search the website:

Go to our site index or ...
  1. Go to http://www.google.com
  2. Type in your search terms and add a space.
  3. On the same line, type site:www.flagstaffpubliclibrary.org.
  4. Try a sample search for library hours: "hours site:www.flagstaffpubliclibrary.org"

To search within pages:

In Mozilla's Firefox, go to the EDIT menu and select "Find in this Page". A search box will open at the bottom of the screen, allowing you to continue searching pages.
